How to delete your account
1. Open the Tink app.
2. Tap the profile icon to open Settings.
3. Tap Delete my data and confirm.
The app erases your data from our servers first, then wipes everything on your phone. If the server can't be reached, nothing is half-deleted — the app tells you and you can try again.
Deleted the app already?
Reinstall Tink, sign in with the same Google or Apple account you used before — this restores your account, no password needed — then follow the steps above. This works no matter how long ago you uninstalled.
If you can't reinstall (lost device access, for example), email admin@tinkdate.com from any address and we'll help within 30 days. Because we don't currently store your email address, we may need a few details from you to locate the right record.
What gets deleted
Immediately and permanently: your user ID's server records — your push notification token, your activity ledger, any pending invites you've sent or received, and your entry in past sessions' participant lists. Your display name, partner list and past-date history live only on your phone and are wiped by the same action.
What is kept
Anonymous statistics only. Aggregated, de-identified usage statistics (for example, "how many sessions happened this week" or which venues get chosen) contain no user identifiers after deletion and cannot be traced back to you. Nothing that identifies you is retained, and there is no additional retention period.
A note on signing in again
Your Tink identity comes from your Google or Apple sign-in. If you sign in again after deleting, you'll get the same user ID back — but it will be a blank slate: the server keeps nothing between deletion and any future sign-in.
